The Hong Kong knitwear company has installed RFID interrogators at 8,000 sewing stations in three of its plants, so that it can record the number of garments made by each worker.

G.PRO IEES is now an officially required class for senior undergraduates at Faculty of Garment and Food Processing Technology of University of Technical Education in Vietnam. The lecturers of the Faculty had received IEES training and passed our examinations. They are now certified IEES Analyst.

This subject, a.k.a Motion and Time Analysis for Garment Industry, will be available in the first semester coming January of 2008 and it comes in two parts: classroom and laboratory. The classroom session is concerned with the background and technique of motions analysis whereas the laboratory session is about learning IEES. Towards the end of semesters, students are required to sit for an examination and have completed a group project. If they wish to be certified by us, they must sit for an external exam which will be graded by our IEES Consultants. Certifications will be issued upon passing the exams.

We target to have a few more academic institutions such as universities and training centers in Vietnam by next year. We will also appoint business partners as our agents to proliferate the sales and trainings of IEES there. With the local Vietnamese associates, IEES can move a lot faster and easier.

This year, G.PRO IEES has won the Industrial Application category in the MSC APICTA 2007.  We will be receiving The MSC-APICTA Trophy and a Certificate signed by the Patron of the Awards, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. A sponsored trip to Singapore to represent Malaysia at the international APICTA Awards 2007.

GPRO Technologies successfully completed the Solutions Testing Capability Development program in October 2007 organized by MDeC. This was achieved to improve software quality assurance, structured testing processes, and the existing software testing capabilities within the organization. The three month long people development program consisted of class-based training, workshops in a simulated test environment and delivery of an organizational GAP analysis against global industry best practices.

This is in line with the existing continuous process improvement and quality management initiative within the organization starting with the achievement of CMMI Level 2 in 2006
